Netflix’s Black Doves is a gripping espionage thriller that manages to blend high-stakes action with deeply personal storytelling. I’m usually not a big fan of Keira, but this series has shed her in a whole new light. And it doesn’t dissappoint.
Alongside Knightley is Ben Whishaw, whose portrayal of Sam Young, a weary yet sharp spy, adds emotional depth and complexity to the series. Ben played the role so well, I felt sorry for him the entire way through the series. Once you see the series you’ll realise how problematic my empathy for Ben truly is. But I still love his character.

The show masterfully intertwines suspenseful narratives with intimate moments, making it a standout in the genre.
