Louise launched Beyond the School Run after having her second child and experiencing first-hand the barriers so many mothers face when trying to return to the workplace. After selling her PR business, and searching for more flexible job options, she found the business landscape quite limiting.
Feeling strongly about creating a positive change within the job landscape for mothers returning to work, she created Beyondtheschoolrun, a platform to connect mothers with opportunities, inspiration and support. Within six months, she was invited to No.10 Downing Street to discuss the concept. Along he way, Louise discovered the power of reconnecting with ones unique spark, or natural talents, and how motherhood could be a pivotal time to unlock that. What started as an idea has grown into a global movement, reaching mothers through her website, podcast, book, newsletter and social platforms. And she’s just getting started. Taking the next step, Louise has created offline events and a B2B offerings, including an integrated platform to create gender equality in the workplace.
