West Mill: Award-Winning Wedding Venue With Top Class Catering Situated in Derbyshire

By Guest Contributor Molly Scott, Founder of Lovely Local Indie

Situated on the banks of the River Derwent, in the leafy suburb of Derby, Darley Abbey is the West Mill. This former cotton mill is now a multi-award-winning, exclusive-use wedding venue. Industrial heritage and extensive renovation combine to create an elegant, contemporary backdrop for your nuptials.

Four floors of dedicated space encourages the celebrations to flow effortlessly throughout the day, whilst a dedicated team of staff cater to your every whim. We got married here in 2018, incidentally on the same day that Prince Harry married Meghan Markle.

We could not have loved the venue any more – our day was perfect – we very much appreciated the no-corkage charge and received numerous compliments about the quality of the catering.
